When you are out on the field or working, it is possible to easily sharpen your saw chain without the need to return to the shop. You can do this by simply connecting the stump vise to a log or stump and securely clamping your chainsaw's guide bar. This vise effectively holds the guide bar in place as you sharpen the cutters.
